Chester & Otis

  

My sons! This is the piece I first experimented with tracing. When you have no talent at all for drawing, you can come up with interesting techniques. I actually printed their pics out on regular 8x11 printing paper from the computer. Then I just traced them with black glitter glue, turned them over and flattened them on to the poster board. Carbon or Graphite paper had never entered my mind. It worked, somewhat messily, but the affect was an artwork in itself. So these are actually mirror images of the actual pictures. I started exclusively using the real rhinestones after this ($$$). The “Chester” name on his did not come out right either. I also call these my “Floating Cat Balloon Heads”.
